The first event was the second Open European Championships which was held in Arona, Tenerife,
from June 18th till July 2nd 2005. In two weeks time, the Bridgemate
recorded more than 75.000 scores. The use of Bridgemate reduced the number of scoring staff
significantly and the service to the players was highly improved. For the first time,
the pairs tournament was broadcasted live in the rama room and the internet without any delay.

The next event for the Bridgemate was the World Bridge Championships in Estoril where the
Bermuda Bowl, Venice Cup and Seniors Bowl was held in October 2005.
As almost as much as 50.000 scores were recorded during the two week team matches events.
Results were directly broadcasted on the internet through Swangames
and published on big screens in the rama room. A new record was set with a scoring staff of
only four people running the complete event.
