After the successes of Bridgemate at EBL and WBF tournaments in 2005, there was no doubt anymore that both organizations would continue using Bridgemate in their tournaments. Both organizations held one tournament in 2006. The largest tournament was the 12th World Bridge Championships in Verona, Italy, organized by the World Bridge Federation. In two weeks time, not less than 147.506 boards were scored with Bridgemates. All players, including prominent persons like mr. Bill Gates, chairman of Microsoft Corporation, and Mrs. Emma Casto-Cruz, sister of Fidel Castro, enjoyed the high quality of scoring and results reporting powered by the Bridgemate. This was once more confirmed by WBF president mr. José Damiani, saying "I know you all enjoyed the service provided by this new and exciting technology."
