Version history
This page provides an overview of the version history of the Bridgemate III system. The Bridgemate III can be updated easily through its built-in automatic update feature. For further information, refer to the Bridgemate III user manual.
Version 1.2.1
IMPORTANT: This update must be installed on both the Bridgemate III server and all the Bridgemate III scoring device. Bridgemate Control Software must be updated to version 4.2.5 or higher.
New and improved features:

Numerical Keypad for Player Number Entry. Players can now easily switch between an alphanumeric keypad and a numerical keypad during player registration, making number entry faster and more intuitive.

Improved Player Search Scrolling. Scrolling through player search results has been optimized for smoother and more responsive navigation.

Support for Non-Consecutive Board Numbers and Empty Rounds. Rounds with non-consecutive board numbers (e.g., 1, 2, 5) are now fully supported. It is also possible to configure empty rounds for all tables within a session.

Enhanced Wi-Fi Management. Further improvements have been made to Wi-Fi connectivity and overall network stability.

Stability Enhancements. Improved USB communication with Bridgemate Control Software, along with additional general stability improvements.

Resolved an issue that could cause the server to become non-responsive during play.

The online software update file could sometimes not be downloaded which prevented the software update function to work properly.

New and improved features:

Persistent player database. The player database is now retained on the server between sessions, making player management more efficient. Players can be added or removed using the Player Management tool in the Bridgemate Control Software.

Waiting for next round movement. Bridgemate now supports waiting for the next round assignments at the end of a round (e.g., in Swiss pairs events).

Automatic TD call for no play or arrow switch. When a no play or arrow switch is entered and TD calls are enabled, the Bridgemate will automatically alert the TD.

Double dummy analysis for manual hand entries. The server now performs double dummy analysis on hand records manually entered at the Bridgemate.

Improved next round seating display. When showing the next round table and seating information, the Bridgemate will display “Stays” for players who remain in the same seats.

Enhanced Wi-Fi network handling. Improved management of known Wi-Fi networks on the server for better connectivity handling.

Option to erase all server data on reboot. A new option allows all server data to be cleared automatically when rebooting.

Bootloader update: Bootloader version 22 is included for increased system stability during startup.

Exact matches on player number or name were sometimes missing from search results.

Restarting an offline event as the same table no longer deletes its backup data.

Auto-generated player numbers no longer appear when editing player names.

No confirmation is anymore required when selecting an empty player registration for updating.
